80 days of summer – check-in #2 and #3

On Friday, June 12, I posted my 80 days of summer to-do/goal list and committed to updating each week. With houseguest-palooza last week I missed check-in #2, so I am combining it with #3. While I hoped this list and blog accountability would help sharpen my focus and stay on track, the last week has been a bust. Oh well. The last of our guests are departing Wednesday and life will return to normal.

  1. Complete 1,000,000 steps on activity trackers.
    Week 2: ON TRACK. For the 7 day period of Monday to Sunday, totals between my treadmill desk steps and my Garmin viviofit2 activity tracker is 127, 386. It was a good, solid week.
    Week 3: ON TRACK. I did not use my treadmill desk AT ALL and yet had a 169,918 total steps. Running a hostel out of my home does wonders for the amount of time on my feet.
  2. Attend 25 classes yoga classes. 
    Week 2: ON TRACK. I was at my studio on Tuesday and Thursday nights, Saturday morning.
    Week 3: FAIL. Busy entertaining and spending time with our guests. Did not do a single class.
  3. Use gym membership for 30 sessions of strength training.
    Weeks 2 and 3: FAIL. Between work and guests, nothing done toward this. I must get busy to succeed on this.
  4. Lose 10 lbs.
    Week 2: ON TRACK. I was 2 pounds down at weigh-in.
    Week 3: FAIL. I was up 1 pound overall, but considered how I stress-ate and generally overate last week, it could have been so much worse.
  5. Research CBT for eating habits. ABANDONED 
    The prohibitive cost combined with other issues going on has me tabling this as a goal for the summer.
  6. Decide upon and document funeral arrangement/wishes. FAIL
    Other priorities has pushed this way down.
  7. Read two books per week. ON TRACK
    Week 2: ON TRACK. Easy, distracting reading, but I cannot recall what the titles were right now.
    Week 3: FAIL. No reading whatsoever.
  8. Get a tan on my legs. ON TRACK
    Weeks 2 and 3: I have spent a lot of time outside in the pool and am not quite as bright white as I was a few weeks back.
  9. Hike with M 6 weekend days. FAIL
    Between preparing to have guests and having so many guests this has just not happened yet.
  10. Post 12 goal progress updates. ON TRACK
    This is a combination of week 2 and week 3 updates. Imperfect, but some progress.

Happy Monday everyone! Hopefully we all have good and productive weeks. Still sort of spotty on blogging this week with the remainder of our guests staying until Wednesday, but I hope to be back to regular blog prorgram later this week.
